Von der erdumkreisenden Internationalen Raumstation (ISS), die in den frühen Morgenstunden des 15. Juli etwa 225 nautische Meilen über dem Karibischen Meer flog, fotografierte NASA-Astronaut Gregory Reid Wiseman dieses nach Norden blickende Panorama, das Teile von Kuba, den Bahamas und Florida beinhaltet und sogar in mehrere andere Bereiche im Südosten der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika mündet. Die lange Lichterstrecke links des Mittelrahmens ergibt die Form von Miami.
