Die Expedition 43-Besatzung führte am Mittwoch an Bord der Internationalen Raumstation (ISS) biomedizinische Forschungen durch. Inzwischen wird die Bodenkontrolle den Canadarm2-Roboterarm außerhalb der Station aus der Ferne manövrieren, um mit der Möglichkeit zu experimentieren, Satelliten in der Umlaufbahn für längere Missionen zu bedienen.  Die Mannschaft absolvierte eine Vielzahl von Forschungsstudien. Das Myco-Experiment, das Proben der Nase, des Rachens und der Haut analysiert, untersucht, wie Mikroorganismen in der ISS Allergien und Krankheiten eines Besatzungsmitglieds beeinflussen können. Eine weitere Studie, Interactions (Interaktionen), untersucht, wie Mannschaften aus verschiedenen Kulturen lernen, miteinander zu arbeiten. Mehr Rodent Research  (Nagerforschung) fand statt, als die Astronauten Proben für die Rückkehr zur Erde vorbereiteten und den Lebensraum der Nagetiere überprüften. Die Besatzungsmitglieder unterzogen sich auch medizinischen Untersuchungen, wie der Prüfung von Vitalfunktionen wie Temperatur und Blutdruck. Später gab es Augenprüfungen der Besatzung, als Ärzte auf der Erde erforschen, wie Mikrogravitation sich auf die Sicht auswirkt. Die Robotic Refueling Mission, eine gemeinsame Studie zwischen NASA und CSA untersucht Satelliten-Reparatur- und -Wartungstechniken im Weltraum. Betreiber am Boden benutzen den Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator der ISS, besser bekannt als Dextre, am Ende des Canadarm2-Roboterarms für feine Robotik-Handhabung. Ingenieure untersuchen, um festzustellen, ob es möglich ist,  Satelliten zu betanken  und testen automatisch elektrische Verbindungen.
