Kommandant Barry Wilmore (USA/NASA) und Samantha Cristoforetti aktualisierten am Freitagnachmittag Robotik-Fähigkeiten, die notwendig sind, um ein sich näherndes Raumschiff mit dem Canadarm2-Roboterarm einzufangen. Die beiden Astronauten werden im Inneren der Cupola (Kuppel) sorgfältig den SpaceXDragon-Raumfrachter bei dessen Annäherung an die Internationale Raumstation (ISS) nächste Woche überwachen. Wilmore wird an den Canadarm2-Kontrollen sein, um den Dragon-Frachter zu fassen, Cristoforetti wird als seine Sicherung fungieren. Zuvor reinigte Wilmore die Kühlschleifen eines US-Raumanzugs nach dem Austausch von dessen Mischpumpen-Separator am Tag zuvor. Astronaut Terry Virts nahm Proben und testete die Wasserleitfähigkeit im Inneren des Raumanzugs. Virts, Cristoforetti und Wilmore begannen ihren Tag ebenfalls mit medizinischer Forschung, einschließlich eines periodischen Fitnesstests und Ultraschalluntersuchungen der Arterien. Auf der russischen Seite der ISS arbeiteten die Kosmonauten Alexander Samokutjajew (Russland/Roskosmos) und Jelena Serowa (Russland/Roskosmos) an einem Experiment, das Mikrometeoriten-Detektionstechniken studiert. Bordingenieur Anton Schkaplerow (Russland/Roskosmos) hatte eine Erd-Aufnahmeserie und beobachtete die Auswirkungen von natürlichen und vom Menschen verursachten Katastrophen.
