Für Anfang nächsten Jahres sind drei US-Weltraumspaziergänge geplant und ISSBesatzungsmitglieder Kommandant Barry Wilmore (USA/NASA) und Bordingenieur Terry Virts bereiten Raumanzüge und Werkzeuge für die Außenbordeinsätze vor. Wilmore tauschte an einem Paar Raumanzügen Sekundärsauerstoffpacks aus, während Virts das Drehmoment an einem Pistolengriff-Werkzeug überprüfte. Nach den Arbeiten an den Raumanzügen absolvierte Wilmore mit Astronautin Samantha Cristoforetti RobotikTraining innerhalb der Cupola. Wilmore wird den Canadarm2-Roboterarm bedienen, um den SpaceXDragonRaumfrachter einzufangen, wenn dieser am Sonntagmorgen ankommt. Samantha wird den Kommandanten unterstützen während der Annäherung und des Rendezvous des kommerziellen Raumfrachters. Virts installierte auch eine Mittellinien-Kopplungs-Kamera zur Unterstützung des Andockens zwischen Dragon und dem “Harmony”-Verbindungsknoten. Dragon ist fällig für den Start im Rahmen der SpaceX CRS-5-Mission am Freitag um 1:20 p.m. EST und das Einfangen ist für Sonntag 6 a.m. geplant.  Die drei Astronauten arbeiteten auch an einer Vielzahl von Forschungen und studierten Verbrennungen und Botanik und lernten sogar die Bedienung der Basketball-großen Satelliten, die  innerhalb der ISS schweben. Die drei Kosmonauten im russischen Segment der Station arbeiteten auch an ihrer Aufgabenliste von Wissenschaft und Wartung.
