Neil Armstrong, der Kommandant von Apollo 11, die 1969 mit den US-Astronauten Buzz Aldrin und Michael Collins zum Mond flog und der am 21. Juli 1969 als erster Mensch den Mond betrat, starb am 25. August 2012 in Cincinnati/Ohio mit 82 Jahren.
